The body as the beauty or the ugliness of humanity

Jane Sacco's video project shows a series of photographs and video footage - before, during and after her surgery. The artwork invites the viewer literally to come inside and experience the operation and the days that followed, revealing bones and metal uniting inside the body - showing the ugliness inside the beautiful human life.

The project was selected to participate "How beautiful ugliness is!" a group exhibition at Red Gate Gallery, London between 28th of May - 24th of June, 2010.
